Read articleMost students revise Mathematics the way they revise History: they reread notes and solved examples. It feels productive because everything looks familiar. Then the exam presents a slightly different question and the familiarity disappears.
When you read a solution, you recognise each step. When you solve a question, you have to recall which step comes next. Exams test recall. The only way to build it is to close the book and solve.
If you can solve it with the book closed, you know it. If you can only follow it with the book open, you have read it.
This is the method we follow in every Abhyaskul Mathematics class, from Class 9th to UPSC Maths optional.
